Members The International Code Council (ICC) Board of Appeals consists of three members and two alternate members who are qualified by experience and training on matters related to property maintenance and building construction and who are not employees of the jurisdiction. These individuals are appointed by City Council and serve without compensation.

Responsibilities
The ICC Board of Appeals hears and determines appeals of orders, decisions, or determinations made by the building official relative to the application and interpretation of the International Building Code (IBC), the International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC), and the International Residential Code (IRC).
