The City of Weirton Garage and Body Shop employs 1 foreman, 3 mechanics, and 1 body service personnel. The City Garage is responsible for the service, repair and state inspection of a fleet of over 100 City vehicles and machines, plus various other City equipment. These services include minor repair and tune-up of engine and transmission repair or replacement.

Body shop duties include dent repair up to and including total body restoration.
The City Garage is responsible for providing fuel to approximately 200 vehicles and pieces of equipment. The most mission critical users of this service are the Police, Fire, Street and Sanitation Departments.
The staff of the City Garage coordinates the Used Oil Recycling Program. This program provides City residents with a location to drop used motor oil at the Public Works Building. The material is recycled as a fuel supplement to be used to heat the garage.
