The Weirton Area Museum & Cultural Center exhibits Weirton’s history ranging from the revolutionary days when the valley was known as Holliday’s Cove and continuing with the history of Weirton Steel Company and the city of Weirton. One of the main assets of the museum is a collection of photographs highlighting the community and the steel mill that were captured by Weirton Steel Company photographers. In addition to the museum’s extensive display of Weirton history, it also holds several community events each year, including the “Festival of Nations” and “Robert Haworth Memorial Art Exhibition,” which are in their eighth consecutive year.
