City of Weirton Administrative Offices Closed for Presidents' Day
All City of Weirton administrative offices will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026 in observance of Presidents Day.The collection schedule for garbage and recyclables will remain the same; it WILL NOT be altered.Questions concerning garbage collection should be directed to the Public Works Department at (304) 797-8500, Ext. 3002/3003.The Weirton Ride Transit Department will run the Saturday Route only. Weirton Ride schedules and maps can be found at www.weirtonride.org.Questions concerning Weirton Ride should be directed to the Weirton Transit Department at (304) 797-8500, Ext. 1023. -

Weirton Youth Council (WYC) Unleashed: Brainstorming Ideas and Getting InvolvedWeirton Youth Council had a productive February 9th balancing community project planning with active civic participation. Members of the WYC began their night by diving into the planning of their upcoming community project. Protect, Serve, and Scrimmage
Members of the Weirton Police Department and Weirton Fire Department took time out of their Sunday afternoon for an unforgettable game of B-ball with the incredible athletes of the West Virginia Special Olympics Hancock County Pride Team.
