[ARCHIVED] Placement of Debris/Items for the Citywide Fall Cleanup

happy thanksgiving day business closing ad (3)

There  recently has  been an increase in residents placing debris/items out in advance of the City’s Fall Cleanup. Putting debris/items out too early creates significant problems for the community. Debris piles attract pests, create roadside obstacles for pedestrians and motorists, pose dangers to children, and negatively affects the appearance of neighborhoods.

In anticipation of the upcoming Fall Cleanup, the City of Weirton is reminding residents that metal items will be picked up on Thursday, October 2, 2025, and Friday, October 3, 2025 and household goods will be picked up Monday, October 6, 2025, through Friday, October 10, 2025 on your regularly scheduled garbage day.

Debris and bulk items for the Fall Cleanup should not be placed out until the day before the pickup dates stated within. Early placement of debris and/or items could result in a code citation violation and/or a fine.

The City appreciates your cooperation in keeping our neighborhoods clean and safe for everyone!
