American Legion Post 10 held a beautiful Memorial Day Ceremony at the Weirton Steel Honor Roll Veterans Monument. Numerous City and County officials, representatives, and organizations gathered to pay tribute to our military veterans and thank them for their sacrifices to our Country.

Mayor Dean M. Harris read a proclamation on behalf of the City. Three of Weirton’s Councilmen are military veterans – Tim Connell was the guest speaker while Chris Jonczak and Ralph Cunningham presented the wreath on behalf of the City.

Thank you to the American Legion Post 10 for this beautiful ceremony that reminds us why we celebrate Memorial Day. May we take a moment to humbly pause, pray, and reflect on the sacrifices that have been made to defend our Nation, our values, and our way of life.
