PRESS RELEASE – AMENDED
The City of Weirton Administrative Offices will be closed on Friday, December 29, 2023 and Monday, January 1, 2024, in celebration of New Years Day. The Public Works and Weirton Transit schedules are as follows:
- Public Works:
- Offices will be closed on December 29 and January 1.
- Sanitation services will run on Friday, December 29.
- Sanitation services will not run on Monday, January 1.
- Collection of garbage and recyclables for December 29 -January 5 will run one day late.
- Weirton Transit Corporation – Offices will be closed and there will be no transit services on Monday, January 1. Please visit the Weirton Transit Facebook page for updates on transit operations.
