Ward II - Council Member

Councilman Cunningham is currently serving his first term as Weirton’s Ward 2 Councilman, after being elected in November 2024.

A Ward 2, Weirton resident his whole life, Ralph Cunningham was drafted into the United States Army in 1969 where he served for two years.

After serving our Country, Ralph worked at Colliers Steel; and, thereafter, as a Federal Grain Inspector for eight years then ultimately retiring as dispatcher from Mountaineer Casino Resort in New Cumberland, WV. 

When not advocating for his Ward and the people of Weirton, you can find Ralph outdoors hunting and fishing.

Councilman Cunningham’s love for Weirton drove his passion to run for City Council. He plans to work hard to better our City for present and future Weirton citizens.
