I think, with how bad the area is getting with drugs, that kids should have more activities available to them. A lot of kids turn to drugs out of boredom. There aren’t very many roller skating places around the area anymore and I know many people have suggested that it would be a great idea for the area. I thought about this for about 4-5 years. Idle hands are drugs best friends. I know Weirton has plenty of summer activities like the pool, park, etc., but there’s not very many things to do in the winter besides the Millsop Center. I just think that with more activities available to the youth, the more productive they could be and the less likely they’ll want to turn to drugs out of boredom. I know this won’t end the heroin epidemic, but it’d be a great way to help. Also, with not having very many roller skating places around, I could see many people coming to Weirton to skate. Just an idea! :)
