Weirton Sanitary Board

The City of Weirton Sanitary Board is responsible for managing and operating the sewage system of the greater Weirton, WV area.  The Weirton sewer system consists of various underground pipes and pumps which remove sewage from local homes, businesses, and industries of the Weirton area.  The sewage is collected at the wastewater plant for treatment and disposal in the Ohio River.

The Wastewater Treatment Plant is located at 5000 Freedom Way near the old Fort Steuben Bridge. The treatment plant is designed to treat 4.0 million gallons of wastewater per day.  Click on the icon links below to learn more about us and what we do for you.
