• Electrical - primary responsibility is to maintain the city's 29 traffic lights, two flashing signals, and six school crossing lights.

  
  

• Garage - services and repairs vehicles and equipment from the following departments: Police, Fire, Street, Sanitation, Weirton Transit, Park Board, Inspections, and Social Services.

  The garage is also responsible for providing fuel to approximately 200 vehicles and pieces of equipment. The most mission critical users of this service are the Police, Fire, Ambulance, Water, and Sanitary Sewer Departments.

  
  

• Sanitation - The weekly collection of residential and commercial refuse. Bi-weekly collection of co-mingled metal cans and glass, co-mingled newspaper and corrugated cardboard, and yard waste (grass, leaves, and chipped debris).

  
  

• Street - Responsible for the maintenance of streets, alleys, and city right of ways (approximately 200 curb miles of highway).
  • Winter ice and snow removal
  • Storm sewer design, installation, and maintenance
  • Annual city-wide cleanup of household items
  • Full leaf collection
  • Sign installation, maintenance, and repair
