Traffic Commission

The Traffic Commission consists of five members who are residents of the City. The members are appointed by the Mayor with the approval of City Council. The duty of the Commission is to recommend rules and regulations concerning all parking and street problems in the City. Such recommendations are forwarded to Council in the form of an ordinance for action by City Council.

To initiate a request, a Handicapped Parking Request Form must be completed and submitted to the City Clerk, cost of the handicap request $40.00.

The Weirton Traffic Commission meets every 3rd Thursday of the month at 10:00 A.M. at the Weirton City Building. The Commission also reviews handicap parking requests.
