The Weirton Fire Department conducts public education presentations and attends community events. To schedule a presentation for a fire truck to visit your school, to request fire department staff attend your event or to schedule a station tour please contact the Fire Department at (304) 797-8297.

FEMA for KIDS

Floods, wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, and winter storms are natural disasters that happen in the United States. The Federal Emergency Management Agency helps people who have been in a disaster. You can help your family prepare for a disaster. This site will help you learn about what causes disasters. You can also play games and read stories from children who have been through a disaster. You can become a Disaster Action Kid! Disasters are a serious subject, but you can have fun learning about them.

THE UNITED STATES FIRE ADMINISTRATION KIDS PAGE

The United States Fire Administration launched a Kid’s Page featuring an animated extinguisher.  The USFA Kid’s Page contains an interactive quiz, interactive games.  Children can play games while learing about fire escape planning, smoke alarms and general home fire safety.
