The City Clerk
provides notice of City Council meetings, prepares the agenda and records proceedings. The Clerk is custodian of all permanent City records, is the Chief Election Officer for municipal elections, and is the ex-officio secretary of multiple boards and commissions.
Code Enforcement, Inspections & Permits
handles building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing code inspections. It enforces minimum housing standards, and reviews construction plans and street address changes.
Finance responsibilities include budgeting, financial reporting, accounting, debt administration, payroll, utility billing and collections.
Fire protects the community during emergencies, enforces fire code ordinances, and provides education in fire safety.

The Municipal Court
office handles cases processed by the Weirton Police Department
Parks & Recreation provides a variety of recreation, sports, fitness and wellness programs. It develops and maintains a system of parks, the community center, the athletic fields and other facilities.
Police protect life and property through enforcement and prevention with programs including animal control and school resource officers.
Public Works maintains City of Weirton owned buildings, grounds, streets and vehicles; and collects solid waste for residential and some commercial customers.
