WEIRTON — Due to greatly improved air quality and a reduced chance of thunder showers in the region, the City of Weirton’s annual Independence Day Parade will take place as scheduled tomorrow at 10 a.m. on Main Street, starting at the intersection of Virginia Avenue and ending at the intersection of Marland Heights Road.
The parade will result in the closure of West Virginia Route 2/Main Street to regular traffic from 9:30 a.m. until the conclusion of the parade.
Parking is also prohibited on WV-2/Main Street between 11:30 p.m. today and 12:30 p.m. tomorrow.
