Hancock County, WV – The West Virginia Division of Highways advises that on Saturday, July 3, 2021, a portion of WV 2 (Main Street) from Marland Heights to WV 105, Pennsylvania Avenue, in Weirton will be closed. This closure will occur from 9:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and is necessary for the City of Weirton’s Fourth of July Parade. Traffic will be maintained by local law enforcement.
Detour for the event is WV 105 (Pennsylvania Avenue), CO 507 (Cove Road), CO 1 (Harmon Creek Road), and US 22, as well as city-maintained routes.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed and expect delays. Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
